Back to basics. This dream was presented like the straight forward test scenarios of old.
I was sitting in the living room of a kitschy American cabin. A young lady came into the room with a box cutter and rushed at me.
I knocked the chair I was sitting in over as I stumbled away. I was immediately caught by a large man. As we struggled the young lady managed to slice off the end of my right thumb and put a large gouge in the back of my right hand.
I grabbed an old candle holder off of the coffee table while on my knees and still wresting with the man. I managed to fling the candle off and stab the man a dozen times with the metal spike used to hold the candles (about 2 inches long).
He rolled over motionless. Freed, I ran for the front door. I darted across the front porch and down onto a gravel driveway. Looking back, the girl was standing in the doorway watching me.
End.
A simple fight or flight test by the observers. It was an exhilarating experience overall and I welcome a return to the straight forward style of it. I woke up feeling pretty good.
